Repainting ornate ceilings is notoriously difficult with a brush and roller, however the job can be tackled much more easily using an airless paint sprayer.

Our client Wagner wanted a video to highlight that the only way to tackle painting ornate ceilings was using an airless paint sprayer to make the process quicker and easier – particularly as the ceilings had very ornate mouldings and were 4m high.

In the video we cover repainting the ceiling in a grand property located in Guildford, Surrey. First, water staining caused by plumbing leaks had to be repaired and multiple cracks in the ceiling needed to be filled with flexible filler. The ceiling was then sprayed with two coats of paint. The entire project was completed by two men in only three days from start to finish.

The main challenge they faced was the height of the ceilings at 4 meters. The ingenious solution was to connect 4 x 60cm extension poles together to create a 2.4 metre extension! Because of the length it required extra stability which was achieved by attaching the extension poles to lightweight aluminium brackets, ensuring there was no flex in the pole. By using this method for the majority of the time they were able to complete the job without needing ladders or scaffolding.

The content required for this video was to show that spray painting ornate ceilings reduces labour time and paint usage. If you also need videos produced but are not sure where to start, we can help.
